If you have a prior conviction that you would like to expunge the court case or the arrest record or both, I can help. Expungement is sometimes referred to as sealing your record. Whether you qualify for an expungement depends on many different factors.

You may be eligible for an expungement if one of the numbers sections below applies to your situation. Some of the numbered sections have several requirements that must be satisfied in order for that section to apply.

  1. You were acquitted of all charges;
  2. Your conviction was reversed by an appellate court;
  3. DNA evidence has cleared you of your charges;
  4. You have received a full pardon from the Governor with a written finding of your actual innocence;
  5. You were arrested but no charges were ever filed;
  6. You were under 18 years old at the time the crime was committed AND you have received a full pardon;
  7. You were charged but all charges were dismissed AND you have never been convicted of a felony AND no felony or misdemeanor charges are currently pending against you;
  8. You received a deferred sentence for a misdemeanor AND you have completed your probationary period AND you have never been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor AND no felony or misdemeanor charges are currently pending against you AND at least 1 year has passed since you completed your probationary period;
  9. You received a deferred sentence for a non-violent felony AND you have completed your probationary period AND you have never been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor AND no felony or misdemeanor charges are currently pending against you AND at least 10 years has passed since you completed your probationary period;
  10. You were convicted of a misdemeanor AND you have not been convicted of a felony AND no felony or misdemeanor charges are currently pending against you AND at least 10 years has passed since you completed your probationary period or jail time;
  11. You were convicted of a non-violent felony AND you have received a full pardon AND you have not been convicted of any other felony AND you have not been convicted of any separate misdemeanors in the last 15 years AND no felony or misdemeanor charges are currently pending against you AND at least 10 years has passed since your felony conviction; or
  12. You were charged or arrested with a crime that was committed by another person who was using your identity without your permission
